Very bad day - Hughton

21 November 2010 14:00
Newcastle manager Chris Hughton admitted the 5-1 defeat his side suffered at Bolton had been one of his worst days in charge of the Magpies. Johan Elmander's second-half brace added to a pair of penalties from Kevin Davies and a cool finish from Lee Chung-yong sank the Magpies, who replied through Andy Carroll and had Fabricio Coloccini sent off. Davies wrapped up victory with his second penalty in injury time after being fouled by Enrique, leaving Hughton to rue what he admitted had been one of his worst days as Newcastle boss. "We've got character in the team that allowed us to continue to look for chances but as a team it's a poor defensive display," he admitted. "Any day where you concede five goals is always a very bad day."
