Feeling the heat: Ipswich manager Keane[LNB]Roy Keane has admitted he fears being sacked by Ipswich after conceding that he 'has not brought anything' to the Championship club. [LNB]Keane has yet to see his second-from-bottom team win in nine attempts so far this season and takes them to Sheffield United on Tuesday night knowing his head might be on the chopping block if Ipswich extend their worst ever start to a season.[LNB] [LNB] [LNB]'Like my players I am doing my best,' said Keane. 'If it's not good enough so be it. I'll be the one losing my job. The bottom line is that if results don't change I'm sure there will be changes.[LNB]'Since I've been in football I've always brought something to the clubs I've been involved with, but I've not brought anything to Ipswich.'[LNB]And the former Sunderland boss refused to criticise fans who booed his side after their 4-0 thumping by Newcastle at Portman Road on Saturday, leaving them on four points and sitting above only Plymouth in the table.[LNB]'That's life and we'll just have to deal with it. If I was a supporter, looking at our results, I would be booing me.[LNB]'It's part and parcel of the game. I've been booed before when I played for Ireland.[LNB]'We know there is frustration building up but I live in the real world.'[LNB]After the tough game at Bramall Lane, where Keane's men face a Sheffield United side who are unbeaten this season, Ipswich head back to Yorkshire to face Barnsley on Saturday.[LNB] [LNB] [LNB] [LNB] [LNB] [LNB] [LNB] [LNB] [LNB] [LNB] [LNB] [LNB] Talk of the Toon: Newcastle's Kevin Nolan (left) celebrates with Andy Carroll after sinking Ipswich with a hat-trick on Saturday[LNB] [LNB]But even if results continue to go against his team, Keane willresist the temptation to make too many changes behind the scenes.[LNB]'I've got good staff I can trust. I changed one or two people atSunderland and the people I brought in ended up not being the mosttrustworthy.'[LNB]But the former Manchester United captain is understood to have metclub owner Marcus Evans over the weekend to discuss possiblereinforcements on the pitch.[LNB]Former England defender Sol Campbell, who walked out after just onegame for Notts County, remains a target if his contract situation canbe resolved.[LNB]Keane said: 'There are two targets I have in mind. We're working very hard but there's a bit to go yet in the negotiations.[LNB]'There has been progress in the last 24 hours and I'm a bit more hopeful of something happening before the weekend.'[LNB]Skipper Alex Bruce has been ruled out for the next two games afterpicking up a groin injury during Saturday's game against Newcastle.
