Joey Barton was ‘devastated’ to hear the news that Kevin Nolan was being shipped off to Upton Park, and hinted that he could be next out of the exit door, followed by Jonas Gutierrez and Jose Enrique. Barton wrote on his Twitter page: ‘Just on my way toAscot, feel sick. ‘Great player, leader, captain, person, trainer and mostly a friend for life. Devastated to see him SOLD.’ Nolan is expected to be reunited with Sam Allardyce at West Ham, after the Magpies refused to offer him a five-year deal. Enrique, on the other hand, is yet to respond to the club's offer of a new deal, while Barton's agent claimed earlier this week that his player would not be offered a new contract.
