Troubled Newcastle dismiss training ground talk of administration
Newcastle United insist they will not be going into administration.
The drastic option was the talk of the training ground this Monday but a source close to owner Mike Ashley said: 'Administration is not an option. The club is still in discussions with various parties over a possible sale.'
One party that isn't in discussion is The Profitable Group.
Steve McMahon, the group's commercial director, said: 'We have pulled out. How long can you keep hanging on? We have put a bid in (two weeks ago) and we have had no communication, no response - nothing.'
