Bristol Rovers are to speak to Newcastle about extending Fraser Forster's loan deal. The 21-year-old goalkeeper has impressed Pirates' first-team coach Paul Trollope since moving to the Memorial Ground at the start of the season, with the latter hopeful that the stay can be made longer. "We are in discussions with Newcastle about extending Fraser's loan spell and we hope there will be some news shortly," Trollope told the Bristol Evening Post. "We want to keep him and he has done well. By his own admission there were a few loose little edges to his game but we have been pleased with his contribution - he's a young player who is going to progress with games." Trollope also has former England Under-21 stopper Rhys Evans on his books on a one-month deal.
