7) ALAN SHEARER VS Everton (Newcastle United 2-1 Everton, December 1st 2002)
The 2002-2003 season saw Newcastle finish 3rd and qualify for the Champions League. This was in large part down to the 17 Premier League goals scored by the Premier Leagues record marksman. Undoubtedly his best goal of the season and arguably, of the 260 premier league goals he would eventually go on to notch up.
French winger Laurent Robert found Shola Ameobi on the edge of the penalty area, who cushioned a perfectly weighted header in to Shearers path. Shearer caught the ball perfectly on the volley and Richard Wright who had been in impressive form all day could do nothing as the ball flew into the top corner.
