Sunday Sun: "Sources in Holland have told the Sunday Sun that Zoet’s elevation to No 1 at PSV has strengthened the hand of the former European Cup winners, who were prepared to let listen to offers around the £2million mark only in August.
"Those were the ballpark figures understood to be quoted to United back then and, while the Magpies did not put in a bid for the 22-year-old in July, representatives have checked out Zoet’s progress in the last few weeks.
"But Zoet’s price has soared since the summer after PSV started the season like a house on fire, powering to the top of the Eredivisie with the Dutch Under-21 international keeping four clean sheets in seven games – including a solid display in last weekend’s 4-0 pasting of bitter rivals Ajax.
"Zoet has recently signed a contract until 2017 with PSV, but is unlikely to shirk the chance to play in the Premier League."
