The Daily Mail claims Alan Pardew is ready to join the battle for Real Madrid's Sergio Canales. The 20-year-old attacking midfielder was bought by Real from Racing Santander ahead of Manchester United, City and Arsenal but has failed to make an impact at the Bernabeu and is available for a season on loan. Newcastle want him on loan, but others are also interested. But considering Mike Ashley allegedly won't pay any new signing more than £50k per week ... put this story out of your mind ... it's rubbish!
