Toon start for Baggies

West Brom will begin life without manager Tony Mowbray with an opening-day home clash against fellow relegated side Newcastle. The Magpies visit the Hawthorns on August 8, before the Baggies make the tricky trip to face Nottingham Forest on August 15. It doesn't get much easier for the Midlands outfit with a trip to London Road to face promoted Peterborough on August 18 followed by a home clash with Ipswich and an away fixture at Sheffield United. The following month will see the Baggies make the trip to Middlesbrough on September 19. The Baggies will host Peterborough on Boxing Day before travelling to face Scunthorpe two days later, and the start to 2010 is equally as tough with the visit of Nottingham Forest on January 9 and a trip to title favourites Newcastle on January 16. They end the season with a home game against Barnsley.
