Toon Star Says: 'We Won't Win 90% Of Our Games Next Season'

Ryan Taylor says he knows the tough task next season in the Premiership, but he expects to be more involved than he was this season. Ryan Taylor: “It’s been hard getting into the team but the lads have been going on unbeaten runs, they’ve been at the top of the league. “I’ve been knocking on the manager’s door all season to tell him I want to play but we’ve been doing so well, you can’t exactly say ‘I deserve my chance’ because the lads have been playing well. “I think he (the manager) knows I want to play. I must have knocked on his door four or five times this season. "When I’ve got my chance I think I’ve done well but you know the pressure is on when you get that chance because you’ve got to do really well to try and make your point. “It’s a bigger challenge next year in the Premier League but that is obviously where I want to play, it’s the league I came to Newcastle from. “I think I will get more of a chance to play next season. "It’s a bigger challenge and being realistic we’re not going to win 90% of our games like we did this season so that might give me a chance if someone gets injured or the manager needs to change it round. “It’s up to me to keep working hard, show the right attitude and make the most of my chance when I get it.” CHAMPIONSHIP Tuesday 20th April 2010   QPR  v  Watford 20.00 Scunthorpe  v  Reading 19.45  Saturday 24th April 2010   Barnsley  v  QPR 15.00 Bristol City  v  Derby 15.00 Cardiff City  v  Sheff Weds 15.00 Doncaster  v  Scunthorpe 15.00 Middlesbrough  v  Coventry 15.00 Newcastle  v  Ipswich 15.00 Nottm Forest  v  Plymouth 15.00 Peterborough  v  Blackpool 15.00 Preston NE  v  Leicester 15.00 Sheff Utd  v  Swansea City 15.00 Watford  v  Reading 15.00  Monday 26th April 2010   C.Palace  v  West Brom 20.00  Sunday 02nd May 2010   Blackpool  v  Bristol City 13.00 Coventry  v  Watford 13.00 Derby  v  Cardiff City 13.00 Ipswich  v  Sheff Utd 13.00 Leicester  v  Middlesbrough 13.00 Plymouth  v  Peterborough 13.00 QPR  v  Newcastle 13.00 Reading  v  Preston NE 13.00 Scunthorpe  v  Nottm Forest 13.00 Sheff Weds  v  C.Palace 13.00 Swansea City  v  Doncaster 13.00 West Brom  v  Barnsley 13.00
