With England suffering a hangover after a dreadful World Cup campaign in South Africa, Fabio Capello has already said he will give younger players their crack at glory on the international stage. Mick Quinn says Andy Carroll could challenge Wayne Rooney for a place. Mick Quinn: “You look at the England set-up after the World Cup – even Wayne Rooney had a shocker! “That means that there are opportunities which I think Fabio Capello has already mentioned – what a chance for Andy Carroll! “If he can get that No 9 on his back and start banging the goals in at Premier League level, he’s in with a real shout.”
