Toon Set For £5m Bid?
Newcastle United are said to be ready to offer £5m for Reading striker Shane Long. According to the Sunday Sun: "Everton and Celtic have also shown an interest in the Irishman who has just enjoyed an impressive season in the Championship with Brian McDermott's beaten play-off finalists. "He has been watched on several occasions by Alan Pardew and his coaching staff in recent months and seems certain to be moving on from the Madejski Stadium in the coming months."
