Toon Open The Flood Gates!

Newcastle United have a battle on their hands to ...

... secure the services of Wilfried Zaha on loan from Manchester United.

They went public about the deal and now seem to have opened the flood gates as Man Utd claim the star is now wanted by six other Premier League clubs.

The 21-year-old has only made two appearances for United following his move from Crystal Palace for a reported £10 million, and is yet to feature in the Premier League.

We covered the story at the weekend, suggesting David Moyes wants him out of the club for personal reasons.

According to the Sun, Newcastle boss Alan Pardew has made a bid for the England Under-21 player, but the newspaper reports that the likes of Aston Villa, West Brom, Swansea and Premier League new-boys Cardiff are looking to add him to their squads in January.

The Sun also quotes a source close to Zaha as saying: "Wilf has too much time on his hands and just needs to be playing now."

So it has nothing to do with David Moyes' daughter then?
