Chris Hughton says the reports saying Wigan's out-of-favour midfielder Jason Koumas is heading to St James' Park are well wide of the mark. Chris Hughton: "There is nothing in that one. "When I saw that we had been linked that was honestly the first I knew about it. "He's a good player, but not one that I think will be coming here." Koumas has started only six games in the Premier League for Wigan this season and his only appearances in 2010 have come in the FA Cup.
