Toon Kid Heading To Wembley?
James Tavernier's loan stint at Gateshead could see the 19-year-old playing at Wembley in the FA Trophy final. Gateshead lost 3-2 at Darlington after leading at half-time 2-0. Peter Beardsley, who has regularly watched Gateshead and Tavernier this season, has been delighted by his progress. Peter Beardsley: “It’s been brilliant for Tav. “He’s been involved in some big games and he has another against Darlington in the FA Trophy. “It’s good for him and for Ian Bogie, who I am also friendly with. “The first team is at Stoke, but I will be at the International Stadium. “And I will definitely be shouting for Gateshead.”
