Toon supporter Mark Thornton: "We make a holiday of following Newcastle on their pre-season tour every year, but what chance have we now to sort out flights and hotels to games in July and August - the peak time for holidays?

NUFC statement: “Due to the cancellation of the Vodacom Challenge tournament in South Africa, arrangements for the games in Germany and Hungary were made in less time than desirable, which has resulted in late confirmation of these matches.”
