Toon Brothers Arrive Like Buses - Four Together!

30 October 2012 12:51
Until Sammy and Shola got together this season, the last brothers to play together in the top flight for the Magpies were the Robledo's back in the 1950's.

Now Newcastle United have handed a trial to Mehdi Abeid’s brother Walid.

The 18-year-old midfielder turned out for the club in a behind-closed-doors reserve friendly against Sunderland yesterday afternoon.

Abeid, the younger sibling of Mehdi, also a midfielder, played the second half of the game at the Academy of Shite.

He has been training with Willie Donachie’s side over the past fortnight.

James Tavernier, Adam Campbell, Jak Alnwick and Curtis Good turn out for United, but the Mackems won 4-0.
