Toffees boss Moyes furious with Toon duo with Anichebe set to miss rest of the season

David Moyes vented his fury on a second Newcastle[LNB]player on Friday as he faced losing striker Victor Anichebe for the rest of the season.[LNB]The Everton[LNB]manager described Newcastle midfielder Kevin Nolan's studs-first tackle on Anichebe as 'terrible' and revealed that an equally horrific challenge by Ryan Taylor had made Jack Rodwell a major doubt for Saturday's home game with West Bromwich[LNB].[LNB]Nolan was shown a straight red card for his foul on Anichebe, and Moyes was adamant Taylor should have received the same punishment or been hit with a FA charge for an early clash that left Rodwell with a damaged thigh.[LNB] Kevin Nolan was sent-off for this dangerous challenge on Victor Anichebe (left)[LNB] Everton striker Anichebe feared the worst after Nolan's lunge [LNB]Anichebe admitted he hardly dared look at his leg, after fearing he had broken it, but the outcome could be almost as bad after a scan showed he had sustained ligament damage. [LNB]Moyes was just as enraged with Newcastle's former Wigan[LNB]midfielder Taylor following an incident that went unnoticed by the referee and appears unlikely to be acted on by the FA. [LNB]The Everton boss said: 'Victor is struggling. He will be out at least three or four weeks, but it could be a lot worse and could even be the rest of the season. [LNB]'It was terrible, and the prospect of losing him for the rest of the season because of it is incredibly disappointing.[LNB]'We're not at all happy with what happened in that game. Apart from Victor, we may well also be without Jack this weekend because of another terrible tackle earlier in the game. [LNB]'It was a horrible challenge from Ryan Taylor, and he should have been sent off.[LNB] Collision: Nolan watches Ryan Taylor tackle the Everton youngster Jack Rodwell[LNB]'It really was a shocker, and Jack has not been able to train at all this week, yet we have not heard anything from the FA about it. [LNB]'No contact whatsoever. It's so disappointing to lose players like that, when it's down to those sort of tackles. [LNB]'But it seems there is nothing we can do about it now, other than roll our sleeves up and get on with things in the usual determined manner.'[LNB]With Yakubu and Mikel Artetal ready sidelined for the rest of the season, Anichebe's setback could hardly have come at a worse time, particularly after his positive response to a recent training ground dressing-down from Moyes.[LNB]'It's a shame for Victor, because we'd just got him straightened out, and he was starting to do the job for us,' Moyes said. [LNB]'We've had this with him before, when he has played well for two or three games, then dropped out, and it has happened again, albeit through no fault of his own.[LNB]'We feel desperately sorry for him and for Mikel, because he was playing brilliantly and is feeling really down. [LNB]'But he is already looking forward to next season and setting his sights on being back for the start, and that sums up the spirit we've got here.'[LNB] EVERTON v West Brom: Saha back on the sidelines as Moyes faces more attacking woe[LNB]England expects: A decade on from the last all-English top-flight XI, Sportsmail presents a club-by-club guide to homegrown talent[LNB]The numbers don't add up: How the Premier League would fare with FIFA's foreigner quota[LNB]Bolton v NEWCASTLE: Nolan red card rules him out of first trip back to the Reebok[LNB]EVERTON FC NEWS FROM ACROSS THE WEB[LNB]NEWCASTLE UNITED FC NEWS FROM ACROSS THE WEB[LNB][LNB] [LNB]
