Tiote Misses Three Games!
Cheik Tiote was today ruled out of Sunday's Wear-Tyne derby after losing his appeal against his FA Cup red card. The Ivory Coast international was sent off by referee Andre Marriner in Saturday's defeat at Stevenage following a tackle on Jon Ashton, but Newcastle appealed against the straight red card, The FA today ruled that his three-match ban remains in place ... even though they could have increased it after the appeal. The 24-year-old will miss games against Sunderland, Tottenham and Fulham.
