Tiote London-Bound?

Rumours from London suggest Newcastle boss Alan Pardew is bracing himself for an offer from Chelsea for Cheik Tiote. Yossi Benayoun appears to be on the verge of leaving Chelsea, and reports suggest the Blues are set for a late bid for Tiote. The Toon midfielder has been linked with the London club throughout the summer, but Pardew admits no offer has yet been put on the table. Benayoun has seen just one minute of action for the Blues this season and looks to be surplus to requirements following the arrival of fellow midfielder Juan Mata from Valencia. But the Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas is still on the look out for one more midfielder. Villas-Boas has revealed his desire to make Chelsea's squad perfectly balanced is the driving force behind his summer recruitment drive. Andre Villas-Boas: "You just have to create a balance with the right players I bring in. "But it takes time in the beginning because there is a radical change in the way you train and play. "In football, there are more spaces than one can think of. "The game looks pretty frenetic, but one of the virtues of Barca is that they slow the game down in their heads and choose better. "Although it looks as if it's happening very, very quickly in their brains, it's the right choice at the right time."
