Tiote And Coloccini Geared Up For Spurs

Cheik Tiote is expected to be fit to face Tottenham Hotspur - despite limping out of Newcastle United's win over Chelsea.

Alan Pardew is confident he will be fit for Sunday’s visit to White Hart Lane, where club captain Fabricio Coloccini could also make a welcome return from injury after missing the last four games.

Alan Pardew: “Cheik’s fine.

“He’ll be OK. He’ll train Thursday.”

The captaincy, handed to Tiote in the absence of Coloccini, has brought the best out of the Ivory Coast international, who struggled for form last season.
