Tim Underestimating His Team Mates?

Tim Krul has hailed Newcastle United's history boys, but surprised us by saying "We'd probably have taken a point before the game with Everton". Would he?

Steve Taylor, Ryan Taylor, Fabricio Coloccini, Jonas Gutierrez, Demba Ba and Leon Best all said last week: "We believe we can win every game."

So what's up with the Dutch goalkeeper? Isn't it about time Alan Pardew gave him a slap?

Tim Krul: “It’s like a dream.

“Look at the fans – they’re believing again now too.

“It’s important to have the belief about the place back again. It was a great atmosphere again.

“It’s fantastic – it’s history. We’ve equalled the record of the team from 1994, and the manager gave us that task before the game.

“We’d probably have taken a point before the game, and to get three is a real bonus again.

“The task was to stay unbeaten. We knew that we wanted to keep the run going, and taking all three points is special.

“Now we can go to Manchester City and Manchester United with confidence.

“We had to push Everton all the way.”
