The News of the World Hits Out At The Toon Again!
Following on from the "The News of the World exclusive" and that article a couple of weeks ago "suggesting" Kevin Nolan and Andy Carroll were on drugs ... the buggers are at it again! Last week Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp was reportedly looking to break the bank to sign Newcastle United striker Carroll (according to the News of the World), and this week he is "allegedly" set to make a £8 million move for defender Jose Enrique. The News of the World: "Redknapp is looking to secure the services of the Spanish left-back to help solve a leaky defence that has been ravaged by injuries for most of the season. "Spurs have sent scouts to watch the attacking full-back, who has been one of Newcastle’s most consistent performers during their solid start to the season, and who could potentially form a lethal partnership with in-form winger Gareth Bale. "If a deal were to go through, it would surely put more pressure on current Spurs left-back Benoit Assou-Ekotto, who would be the man most likely to lose his place in the side."
