The Loudest SJP Has Ever Been?

James Perch has called for a repeat of last season's performance against Liverpool .

Two goals from Papiss Demba Cisse gave Newcastle United a 2-0 victory in the fixture between the two sides on Tyneside last season.

James Perch: “I think Liverpool is always a good game to play in.

“We played well last year and won 2-0, which was a fantastic game.

“I think that’s the loudest I’ve heard St James’s with Andy and Jose (Enrique) coming back.

“I’m looking forward to it – it should be a good game – and hopefully we can get the three points.

“We’ve got a week to prepare ourselves. It’s hard for the staff to prepare for a Sunday game after you’ve played on Thursday (in the Europa League).

"The lads who have played have a rest on Friday, and we come out on Saturday and walk through a bit of shape. They don’t get much time to work with the lads.

“We really noticed the difference. The lads have had a rest. They feel fresher, and I think you could see that in the performance.”
