Taylor Was Lucky To Stay On The Field!

It was a remarkable match last night, but the referee got it wrong with the Chelsea penalty ... and perhaps it was evened up because we were lucky he turned a blind eye to the antics of Ryan Taylor. Taylor sent Kakuta heading towards the Thames with a tackle that probably defies description. He got away with it, although I don't think I've seen a worse tackle from a Newcastle player this season. In the second-half Taylor made another rash challenge ... then started giving the referee verbals ... and I'd swear the ref gave the signal to Chris Hughton "take him off, or I'll send him off!" Seconds later Hughton took the hint and Taylor was replaced by Mike Williamson. Ancelotti was at odds with Newcastle bench when the Italian waved an imaginary card at referee Phil Dowd in a bid to get Taylor sent off in the second-half. Carlo Ancelotti: "Kakuta had a problem on his leg after the tackle in first half. The problem with his back is from the fall. "It was a terrible tackle! "I tried (to show a red card) because this is football. "Maybe it is the last time I do this. "I was excited because the match was very good. We were 3-1 down with 10 men and I was excited by this but I showed respect for everyone."
