Taylor Wants To Sign For Spurs?
Several newspapers today claim "Steven Taylor is keen on a move to Spurs amid speculation Harry Redknapp wants to sign the Newcastle defender". Newcastle have made attempts to re-open talks with the 24-year-old defender, who is out of contract next summer, but apparently he wants to talk to Redknapp. Spurs are struggling with an injury crisis in defence, with Younes Kaboul, Jonathan Woodgate and Ledley King all on the physio table. But are these rumours pure speculation ... because none of the newspapers can come up a quote from the player or his agent? The closest we can get to the source of the rumour is: "Speculation suggests he is more keen than ever to move on, despite making his first start of the season in the 1-1 draw with Chelsea on Sunday." Hardly confirmation, is it?
