Taylor Waiting For Contract To Run Out And Free Transfer?

10 October 2010 12:36
The Sunday supplements are having a tough time this week, no Premiership football and pages to fill. Rooney hasn't been to the red light district and Beckham has issued a law suit this weekend. BUGGER! NEWCASTLE UTD MAD Learn Geordie: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mlJNyK9F3pA  CONTACT US (Kev):   Kevnumad@fsmail.net So what is left to report on? I know - TRANSFER SPECULATION! Who's on the transfer list? Well there's Steven Taylor still looking for a new club, and Roy Hodgson is looking to "bring some more youthful options to Anfield". That's it: "Liverpool set to sign Taylor in the January transfer window" So here is that story (as it appears today in one newspaper): "Taylor’s contract will run out in the summer and would then be able to leave the north-east club for nothing but the Liverpool manager is looking to make a move for the player in January to avoid losing out to prospective suitors when the season comes to a close. "A move in the region of £4m may be enough to persuade Hughton to cash in on a player who managed 162 starts since his debut for the club back in March 2004." No club is going to pay £4m for a player who has five months left on his contract. As for Taylor, we hear (from the rumour mill) that he is waiting until May to get himself a free transfer and a megga signing on fee.
