Taylor - Toon are sticking together

Newcastle defender Steven Taylor has revealed how the club's senior professionals are nursing their young team-mates through a traumatic close-season as the crisis on Tyneside shows little sign of abating. While several bigger names have made their feelings on the ongoing uncertainty abundantly clear the next generation of Magpies, who could have a major role to play in the Championship, are being helped through a difficult spell by their more experienced colleagues. The club has no permanent manager, an owner who is desperately trying to offload it and a dressing room full of players who do not know where they will be playing their football next season, but Taylor says spirits remain high. "There are a lot of young boys in the squad and they have been getting a lot of help from the senior lads," he said. "If we are going to get back up, we [the players] have to do it. The good thing about it is that we have stuck together."
