Taylor For Barcelona? Utter Rubbish!

28 April 2010 11:03
Reports from London today linking Barcelona with former England Under-21 skipper Steven Taylor are well wide of the mark ... suggesting another Cockney reporter has his head up his arse! We had a run-in with Daily Express reporter Mick Dennis a couple of weeks ago, after he slagged off the Newcastle Utd supporters ... saying he was sick to the back teeth of "Geordies bragging they are the best". He threatened to slag off this website in the Express, but he bottled it after we insisted he put a link to the article that gave our reply to his outrageous remarks. As for the Barcelona story, we contacted NUFC and they insist there has been no contact between the Magpies and the Nou Camp giants. Apparently the Newcastle United defender "is being linked with a high-profile switch to Barcelona this summer, with the Spanish giants' veteran Carles Puyol moving to the Premier League". Will Taylor leave St James' Park this summer? Some suggest he will after being left with a broken jaw following a training ground bust-up with star striker Andy Carroll ... and reports on our message board claim he is looking for a move away. Although the 24-year-old Geordie centre-back is being tracked by several English clubs, none have put in a written offer.
