Talks Underway With Paris-Saint Germain

The Journal understands the Magpies are still negotiating with Paris-Saint Germain regarding a fee for Turkey international Mevlüt Erdinç ... ... although progress has been slow. And Alan Pardew could be ready to bid for AIK Stockholm prospect Teteh Bangura. PSG are willing to let Erdinç leave this summer following the arrival of former United target Kevin Gameiro from Lorient, but a fee of £6m has been knocked back. PSG are also in the process of trying to appoint Brazilian Leonardo as manager following his departure from Inter Milan, with rumours he will take Cameroon international Samuel Eto’o with him to France. That is likely to mean Newcastle will have to be patient in their pursuit of Erdinç. Reports in Sweden suggest Newcastle are taking a close look at AIK Teteh Bangura. Teteh Bangura: “I know Newcastle have seen all my matches and that they are following me.”
