Swansea Newcomers Settle In Quick

Michael Laudrup is promising his Swansea City side are only going to get better this season

Michael Laudrup: "It's too early to talk about positions in the table — I think we can only really do that with eight or ten games of the season to go.

"But I am really satisfied with the team and the way we have played so far.

"When you look at it, in most of the games we have played, at least 50 per cent of the outfield players have been new players.

"We have had Chico Flores, Jonathan de Guzman, Ki Sung-Yueng, Pablo Hernandez, Michu and Ben Davies. That's six, and it's not easy when you are playing with so many new players.

"Not only that, but a lot of them are getting used to a new football culture and a new country, not just a new team.

"And because of that, I think we will do better in the second half of the season than the first.

"I am looking to get a good number of points in the first half of the season, and in the second I am sure we will do better because the players will know each other better."
