Swansea Dig In Their Heels Over Taylor

Newcastle can hold talks with Swansea defender Neil Taylor ... but the Swans decide if he stays or goes. Newcastle have made a £1million bid for the left-back, and they have permission that allows the player to speak to Alan Pardew. However, Swansea say the clause does not allow him to move clubs unless they say, and the Welsh club will have the final word. Taylor joined the Swans from non-league Wrexham last summer and made 30 league appearances as they clinched promotion to the Barclays Premier League. He missed the game at Wenbley as he was suspended for a red card in the semi-final against Nottingham Forest.
