Alan Pardew: "I think they know they're coming up against a different Newcastle.
"I've got great players to put in this team now. They'll be as worried about us as we are about them.
"I think Swansea are a great club. and they set a great agenda. The board have done well there.
"They've had good managers, and they've got their just deserts for an ambitious style. Michael Laudrup was a fantastic player — he was one of my favourite players.
"He's got a good record as a manager. Fair play to him, he could probably have got a top European job. He's got his reward as well."
