Supermac Tells Hughton To Put Leon Best 'Out Of His Misery'

There has been constant debate on the NU-Mad message board about the ability (or lack of it) of Leon Best making the grade in the Premiership. Newcastle legend Malcolm Macdonald has no doubts the former Coventry striker has not got what it takes. Malcolm Macdonald (talking to the Chronicle): "Even when he came from Coventry City, I had serious doubts about whether he was even good enough for the Championship. "To be fair, we haven’t seen an awful lot of him, because Carroll and Lovenkrands were keeping him out of the team. "But when he did get the odd chance he didn’t convince me. "My advice to Newcastle this summer would be to get a nice little deal sorted to get him back to the Championship, and put him out of his misery."
