Follow Sportsmail's coverage of the day's final third round match of the FA Cup where Stevenage take on Newcastle. The League Two side will hope to go one better than the draw they achieved against the Toon Army 13 years ago and cause an upset by knocking the Premier League side out. Email me your thoughts on the action at dan.ripley@dailymail.co.uk[LNB] Stevenage 3-1 Newcastle (5.30pm)Stevenage: Day, Henry (Bridges 85), Ashton, Roberts, Laird, Bostwick, Mousinho, Long, Winn (Odubade 90+4), Beardsley, Wilson.Subs: Bayes, Foster, Griffin, May, Sinclair.[LNB]Goals: Williamson 50, Bostwick 56, Winn 90+3.Newcastle: Krul, Perch, Coloccini, Williamson, Simpson, Barton, Smith (Tiote 58), Nolan, Routledge, Lovenkrands (Airye 78), Best (Ranger 46).Subs: Soderberg, Guthrie, Kadar, Ferguson.[LNB]Goals: Barton 90+2.Referee: Andre Marriner (W Midlands)[LNB]19.38: So it's been a massacre in the North East.[LNB]Middlesbrough, Sunderland and Newcastle ALL dumped out by lower league opposition against huge odds.[LNB]The best thing is it's not over this weekend. The FA Cup continues tomorrow with the blockbuster tie of Manchester United v Liverpool - Kenny Dalglish making his managerial return as the third round concludes with four fixtures in total.[LNB]For now though that is all from me. Thank you for following and make sure you catch today's highlights![LNB]19.35: Stevenage's ghosts of 1998 have been abolished, but for Newcastle Ronnie Radford and 1972 are just revisited.[LNB]Huge test for Alan Pardew now. How will his team respond to this shock defeat?[LNB]19.33: This from OptaJoe:[LNB]13 - Stevenage are only the 13th fourth tier/non-league side to knock out a top-flight team in the FA Cup since 1980. Stunned.[LNB]19.31: I did warn them at half-time. Newcastle never got out of second gear and were hit by a rampant Stevenage who have pulled off one of the biggest shocks in the history of the FA Cup.[LNB]Fans on the pitch at full-time to celebrate with their heroes who will surely never have to buy a pint again in the town.[LNB]Full-time: Stevenage 3-1 Newcastle[LNB]90+4min: Winn is replaced by Yemi Odubade.[LNB]90+3min: GOAL! STEVENAGE 3-1 Newcastle[LNB]But what a reply! Mousinho threads in Peter Winn with a superb pass who simply clips th eball over th eon-rushing Krul. Game over.[LNB]90+2min: GOAL! Stevenage 2-1 NEWCASTLE[LNB]What a hit this is from Joey Barton, 25 yards out he gives it all his got and although Day is suspect as the ball flies straight over him it's a well hit strike.[LNB]90+1min: Just seen Day's shirt again, hardly a speck on it.[LNB]90min: Four minutes added on.[LNB]88min: Stevenage are full value for this win, you really would not notice there are three divisions between the clubs. As much as Newcastle have been poor, the home side have been magnificent.[LNB]Fantastic! My Dad helped form Stevenage Town just after the War - which has subsequently been reformed - several times - to become Stevenage Boro! Just LOVE it! Newcastle years ago pooh-poohed Stevenage and argued rudely that that tie, 13 years ago, should be held in Newcastle not in Stevenage - how we cheered when the Boro lads levelled the score at 1-1 (sadly lost the replay). This could be glorious revenge![LNB]Philip Henderson, Lucca, Italy[LNB]85min: First sub from the hosts as David Bridges replaces Henry.[LNB]83min: They seem to have given up Newcastle, Stevenage again pressing forward. This has been awful from Newcastle it really has.[LNB]80min: They could even have sealed it just then. Krul's clearance is straight at Winn but as he homes in on goal, Coloccini gets back in time to put him off enough to force his shot off target.[LNB]79min: Newcastle's best chance. Barton's free-kick into the box is fumbled by Chris Day before the hosts scramble the ball clear in panic.[LNB] Marching orders: Cheik Tiote is sent off having been on for just over 10 minutes[LNB]78min: Phil Airey is on for Lovenkrands.[LNB]77min: Constant pressure now and Phil Airey is warming up for the visitors.[LNB]74min: The only thing that the home side are in danger of now is complacency. Do they have the discipline to see this out to the end? Newcastle still pressing forward.[LNB]71min: RED CARD (Cheik Tiote, Newcastle)[LNB]It is falling apart for Newcastle. Tiote attempts a sliding challenge but despite getting the ball was quite high off the ground as he lunged from the side on Joe Ashton.[LNB]69min: Finally some purpose in Newcastle's play. They are getting the ball down and knocking it around,...well it's an improvement at least.[LNB]66min: It all lacks finesse from the visitors, they are just pumping long balls forward like a Sunday League side. With just the inexperienced Ranger up front on his own this is woeful.[LNB]63min: Alan Pardew has to make tactical changes, he went 4-5-1 for the second-half but it's clearly not working. Stevenage still on top.[LNB] Magic moment: Michael Bostwick doubles Stevenage's lead[LNB]60min: If anything Stevenage are going to get a third, the visitors are just not responding. I don't know what the Graham Westley fed his team at pre-match but I want some.[LNB]59min: Cheik Tiote is on for Alan Smith.[LNB]57min: Newcastle losing the plot a bit, Coloccini does indeed have one lunge too many on Ronnie Henry and is booked.[LNB]55min: GOAL! STEVENAGE 2-0 Newcastle[LNB]Well this is incredible! More great short passing from the hosts and Michael Bostwick from the edge of the box cannons in a shot that hits the post and goes in. It's inch perfect and once again Krul is stranded.[LNB]53min: Nearly an instant response from Newcastle but Barton's effort from the edge of the box just clears the crossbar.[LNB] Jubilation: Stevenage players crowd around Stacy Long after his deflected shot gave the hosts the lead[LNB]50min: GOAL! STEVENAGE 1-0 Newcastle[LNB]This is a superb move. Stevenage counter and after Long shows good skill to make space on the edge of the area, his shot across goal cannons off Mike Williamson into his own goal leaving Krul with no chance.[LNB]47min: Reckless from Peter Winn, he lunges in on Barton and is booked, same pattern of play so far.[LNB]Second-half: One change for the Toon Army, Nile Ranger is on for the anonymous Leon Best as Stevenage get us going again.[LNB]18.29: All in all it could be a very bad day for North-East clubs, following Sunderland's exit to Notts County earlier today. [LNB]Toon fans were almost certainly laughing then but they are far from safe here.[LNB]18.26: As comfortable as Newcastle have been they cannot keep playing like this.[LNB]Stevenage only need one chance to fall for them to take advantage and they are going through th emotions far too casually.[LNB]if the pattern of play continues, it will favour the home side, especially with the lack of tempo.[LNB]18.23: Good luck picking the highlights out of that. Newcastle have showed little, if any ambition going forward while Stevenage lack the guile to break down the visitors.[LNB]Half-time: Stevenage 0-0 Newcastle[LNB]45+1min: Tim Krul change your studs. Once again the Newcastle keeper slips over taking a big kick and once again it's much to the amusement of the home fans who give it the old 'wahey!' Which like a reflex action you just have to do.[LNB]45min: Three extra minutes following that injury to Nolan in the first minute.[LNB]44min: To the home side's credit, they have done their homework. Wayne 'Speedy Gonzalez' Routledge on the right has been shackled for the Toon Army who have rarely been allowed to counter at speed.[LNB] King Kev: Ex-Newcastle boss Kevin Keegan waves to supporters before the game[LNB]41min: It's like watching Arsenal...nobody will shoot! Stevenage with space on the edge of the area but they elect to keep passing it around the box before Peter Winn's square pass is cut out.[LNB]39min: It's as you were, zero pressure from Newcastle and it's Stevange trying to play the more attacking game, no chances though and a highlights package of this game wouldn't be very long.[LNB]36min: The home side are playing much the better football now, Newcastle just can't get anything going and Tim Krul is the busier keeper.[LNB] Front page news: A Newcastle fan reads up on his sides return to Stevenage[LNB]33min: John Mousinho finds himself the first Stevenage player to be booked after pulling back on Wayne Routledge who was looking to start a counter.[LNB]32min: Smart save by Krul, Bostwick is in space 20 yards out and decides to try his luck before the young Dutch keeper dives down low to his right to keep out the well hit effort.[LNB]29min: This has been the home side's best spell. They are passing it around with some confidence.[LNB]Chris Day's bright orange kit remains spotless, as he has had hardly anything to do in the Stevenage goal.[LNB] Danger: Stevenage players scramble to clear the ball away from Leon Best (blue)[LNB]27min: It's Leon Best next in the ref's notebook though after his raised arm catches Scott Laird.[LNB]25min: I do have question marks over Fabricio Coloccini, he has had a solid game so far but he has been sliding in an awful lot already and I won't be surprised if he gets a booking at some point.[LNB]23min: Just a slight opening for Lawrie Wilson. he manages to find some space on the outside of the box but before he can get a shot away is hounded out before the visitors clear.[LNB]20min: Not much in the way of chances, Newcastle are looking comfortable though and no side has really gave this a good go as yet.[LNB]17min: First booking goes to Alan Smith who has had a couple of late attempts at a challenge and the referee decides his latest on Long is one too many.[LNB]15min: Nolan is late on a challenge with Long, but although the Stevenage player's reaction suggests he was hacked out it was fairly innocent from Nolan and referee Andre Marriner elects to just have a few words.[LNB]13min: Pretty even game so far, Newcastle shading it a touch but judging by Barton's volley that flies nearer the corner flag than the goal, the gulf in class is not obvious.[LNB]11min: Newcastle survive that but have a corner of their own at the other end. Joey Barton's cross is over hit though and Stacy long clears to touch.[LNB]9min: First moment of panic for Newcastle, Krul can only punch a cross clear as far as Bostwick whose shot is blocked out for an eventual corner.[LNB] Dispossessed: Newcastle's James Perch slides in on Stevenage's Chris Beardsley[LNB]7min: Proper cup tie this, challenges are flying in from every angle on what is not a great pitch, but better than the one Newcastle complained about back in 1998.[LNB]5min: Great move from Newcastle, Wayne Routledge crosses from the byline for Joey Barton at the far post, and his side foot volley is well stopped at his near post by ex-Tottenham keeper Chris Day.[LNB]3min: Nolan has only just gone off after getting treatment and he should be back on in a moment.[LNB]First huge cheer from the crowd after Tim Krul falls on his backside taking a goal kick.[LNB]1min: Kevin Nolan is bleeding inside the first minute. No it's not kicked off like that already. [LNB]Michael Bostwick's clearance catches the midfielder full in the face and he is bleeding under his eye. What on earth is that ball laced with? [LNB]Kick-off: Leon best and Peter Lovenkrands get us going...[LNB]17.29: Teams making their way out, cracking atmosphere inside the obviously packed ground.[LNB]17.26: That's a strong lineup from Newcastle, Alan Pardew clearly not interested in taking chances despite making five changes.[LNB]17.23: The team news:[LNB]Stevenage v NewcastleStevenage: Day, Henry, Ashton, Roberts, Laird, Bostwick, Mousinho, Long, Winn, Beardsley, Wilson. Subs: Bayes, Foster, Griffin, Odubade, May, Bridges, Sinclair.Newcastle: Krul, Perch, Coloccini, Williamson, Simpson, Barton, Smith, Nolan, Routledge, Lovenkrands, Best. Subs: Soderberg, Guthrie, Tiote, Kadar, Ranger, Ferguson, Airey.Referee: Andre Marriner (W Midlands)[LNB]17.20: The magic of the cup. There that is the cliche out the way, but this tie really is the reason the FA Cup is still loved.[LNB]The fixture between these two in 1998 was a classic David v Goliath battle and although the then non-league club failed to overcome their much more illustrious opponents, they came very close as you can read here.[LNB]Today they are out for revenge and judging by some of the results already this afternoon, who dare say the league two cannot pull off what would be a huge shock.[LNB] On fire: Newcastle's Leon Best will hope to add to his hat-trick he scored against West Ham[LNB]  Toon had to win it the hard way against Stevenage last time...Newcastle ring the changes as Alan Pardew sends trio out on loanBlackburn and Newcastle in fight for Uruguay defender Mauricio Victorino[LNB]  Explore more:People: Kevin Nolan, Wayne Routledge, Joey Barton, Leon Best, Alan Smith, Kenny Dalglish Places: Newcastle, Liverpool, Italy
