Steven Taylor offered another new deal at Newcastle

Newcastle have put a second contract offer on the table for Steven Taylor as they look to tie the central defender to the club. [LNB]Taylor's current deal expires in the summer and he remains on the transfer list but the 24-year-old has continually claimed he wants to stay at St James' Park.[LNB] The player's representatives, according to reports on Tyneside, have not responded to the second offer from the club after turning down the first. Taylor's current weekly wage is an estimated £40,000. [LNB]He looked to be on his way out of Newcastle last season following an alleged bust-up with team-mate Andy Carroll which left Taylor with a broken jaw.
