Stephen Ireland - He Will ... He Won't!

19 April 2011 11:30
Stephen Ireland was set to make his Newcastle debut against Manchester United tonight ... but that seems to be on the back-burner right now. REPORT No. ONE: Alan Pardew: "Stephen Ireland will be involved in this game and that's a big bonus because we have been waiting a long time for Stephen. "His quality will help us in the last six games for sure. Technical quality - that's what he brings. "You have got a player who has played at the highest level, and we have waited long for him because of his injuries and setbacks that he's had. "But hopefully, that will bear some fruit in the last six games." REPORT No. TWO: Ireland has been at the bedside of his partner Jessica Lawlor after she suffered multiple injuries in a car smash last week. That means the winger is doubtful to be involved against the Red Devils in what would be his debut game. The Chronicle understands that United were today expected to assess Ireland’s chances of involvement after a distressing few days for the 24-year-old.
