Great Britain's Olympic men's team will play London 2012 group matches in Manchester, London and Cardiff, it has been announced.

Stuart Pearce's side will kick-off their campaign at Old Trafford on July 26 - a match sure to attract huge attention given it comes the day before the official opening ceremony.

That will be followed by matches at Wembley on July 29 and the Millennium Stadium on August 1.

Tickets for the football tournament will go back on sale at 1100 GMT on November 29 when it is expected the GB games will quickly sell out. They will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

The GB women's team have been handed games in Cardiff and Lodnon.

The British teams will discover their opponents for the matches when the draw for the tournament takes place on April 24 next year.

The other Olympic football venues are Coventry's Ricoh Arena and St James' Park in Newcastle.
