Spiderman Mask ... Or £9.99 To Sir Bobby Foundation?

18 March 2010 12:09
We read that the Newcastle United Supporters Trust wants thousands of fans to wear Spiderman masks at the Nottingham Forest match. The idea is to copy Jonas Gutiérrez, who made his long-awaited mask goal celebration recently. Masks can be bought for £9.99 at Magicbox in Percy Street, Newcastle, who have pledged to donate £1 from every mask sale to the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation. But several Magpies fans have e-mailed us suggesting: "Gutiérrez said it was a one-off celebration and he won't be doing it again. "After all - the masks are RED - and what Toon fan wants to be seen dead in Mackem traditional colours? "Why not hand over the £9.99 to the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation ... I'm sure it will be a better reward than handing it over to a joke shop."
