The Newcastle boss was rated the most likely manager to leave his post next when Sky Bet opened their book - the first of its kind for 2013/14 - on Thursday morning.
But in just a few hours, money came for Swansea supermo Laudrup and he was cut in from 12/1 to 11/8 by the end of the day.
The Dane has been linked with high-profile jobs such as the vacancy at Real Madrid and the hot seat at Paris Saint Germain.
Pardew endured a disappointing campaign in 2012/13. Having led the club to a fifth-place finish the previous season - one which saw him named LMA Manager of the Year - he found it difficult to back that up as the Magpies finished 16th, winning just two away games.
Fulham's Martin Jol comes next at 8/1. Norwich's Chris Hughton is the only other manager at a single-figure price. He's a 9/1 chance.
New Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is regarded as the safest in his position. Despite his tempestuous character, the Portuguese is a 66/1 shot to go first.
David Moyes, only just appointed by Manchester United to succeed long-term incumbent Sir Alex Ferguson, is also a long shot at 50/1 - the same price as the yet-to-be-named Manchester City boss. That is expected to be Manuel Pellegrini.
Aston Villa's Paul Lambert is also available at 50/1. He was last season's market favourite at one point but eventually led the Midlands-based club to safety.
Those in charge at the newly-promoted clubs - Steve Bruce (Hull), Ian Holloway (Crystal Palace) and Malky Mackay (Cardiff) - are rated fairly safe in their posts. Bruce is 28/1 in the betting with the other two 33/1.
