Sol Campbell to have medical at Newcastle
SOL Campbell is due to have a medical with Newcastle United this afternoon.[LNB] The 35-year-old defender has been out of contract since his deal with Arsenal ran out this summer and had been linked with the Magpies' North-East rivals Sunderland as well as Celtic.[LNB] But Newcastle have won the race for his services as they look to strengthen their defence ahead of their return to the top flight.[LNB] Campbell is expected to undergo a medical this afternoon and, provided there are no problems, the former England international should be confirmed as a Newcastle player tomorrow.[LNB]
