Smith And Williamson - Bowyer And Dyer Pt 2?

Alan Smith has laughed off suggestions of internal dressing-room conflict at Vicarage Road. Smith was involved in a feisty clash with Mike Williamson when Watford scored on Saturday. Alan Smith: “Emotions run high – everyone wants to see a team that wants to win. “We were having a laugh about it afterwards. “It’s just one of those things – emotions run high. Kevin Nolan and Danny Guthrie were also having an argument. “We didn’t want to throw away those points we had worked so hard for. “We had a laugh about it afterwards, and it’s done now. “I think it was a good performance – it was a total opposite to Swansea. “The pitch didn’t help us, but the early goal settled us down, and we looked in control, and a team at the top of the league. “We played with that air of confidence, and Coloccini was magnificent alongside Mike. It looked like we had another gear if we needed it. “In the last four minutes we put ourselves under pressure with a sloppy goal, but it was a good team performance. We’ve been waiting for an away win for a while. “Not just an away win – but a good away performance.”
