Simpson's 'Hat-Trick' Against Man Utd

06 January 2012 12:10
Despite seeing his former club Manchester United HAMMERED at St James' Park on Wednesday ... Danny Simpson believes they can bounce back and retain their Premier League crown.

Danny Simpson: "City are doing really well but you cannot write United off and it'll probably go right down to the wire.

"They've dropped three points behind City so they'll be gutted.

"They've had setbacks and I'm sure they've lost two on the bounce before but they'll be even more up for it going to City at the weekend looking to put a marker down on them.

"Sir Alex has been in that situation before and I'm sure he'll be fine.

"If you write Man United off you're asking for trouble, aren't you?

"They are a top-class team. City are doing really well but you cannot write United off and it'll probably go right down to the wire.

"I said at Old Trafford when we played there my goalline clearance was like scoring a goal - Wednesday's was like a hat-trick!"
