Simpson promises best is yet to come

Newcastle defender Danny Simpson has promised there is more to come from him as continues his football education. The 24-year-old full-back learned his trade as a trainee at Manchester United, and honed it during loan spells at Sunderland, Ipswich, Blackburn and St James' Park before winning a permanent move to Tyneside in January last year. Simpson said: "I am young still, it's my first full season in the Premier League. I have had little tastes of it over the years, but this is my first full campaign. "The players we have got here - Kevin Nolan, Joey Barton, Alan Smith - they are helping all the young lads out, not just me. "The new manager has come in and he has watched all the lads, he has reviewed the situation. "He's had a chat and said what he thinks I can improve on, and that's what I am going to try to do and keep improving for Newcastle."
