IFK Gothenburg defender Ragnar Sigurdsson has admitted he could imagine moving this summer, amid speculation linking him with Blackburn and Newcastle. According to reports in the Swedish press, Gothenburg have turned down an offer from Espanyol worth around £1.5million. It is understood that Newcastle and Blackburn are also monitoring the situation and Sigurdsson has revealed his ambitions to succeed in a top league. "It's here and now with Gothenburg for me, but of course I have bigger goals," Sigurdsson told Aftonbladet. "I want to play as high up as possible, to see how good I can get. "If something good comes along, then of course I can see myself moving this summer." Teenage starlet Robin Soder is another player to have been linked with a move away from Gothenburg but he has put pen-to-paper on a new three-year contract. "I have to become a better footballer if I am to take that step," said Soder.
