The match against Den Haag was marred by a small section of the home support who made monkey noises towards Papiss Cisse, Demba Ba and Cheik Tiote.
The majority of abuse came in the first half of the 0-0 draw at the Kyocera Stadium.
United officials have since spoken to Den Haag about the incident.
And the Dutch club has vowed to investigate the matter.
Newcastle United FC: “In reference to alleged racist chants reported during Newcastle United’s friendly against Den Haag today, the club will be raising the matter with officials at Den Haag and it will be dealt with privately.”
