Should We Get Ben Arfa Fit - Then Sell Him To Liverpool?

Hatem Ben Arfa is out of Newcastle United's Europa League tie against Anzhi Makhachkala ... and is seeing a specialist.

He will miss tonight’s game at St James’s Park becauseof a hamstring injury.

Ben Arfa started the first leg in Moscow last week, which ended goalless, but sat out Sunday’s Premier League win over Stoke City.

Alan Pardew: “The team news is pretty good, apart from Hatem.

“He’s not going to make this game. We’re trying to finalise his hamstring injury before we put him back in.

“He’s had a little setback – a specialist is going to look at it.

“I’ll have a little bit more news at my next press conference.

“The most important thing is his welfare going forward.

“It’s a slight strain – we’re checking it’s no more than that.

“There’s a chance he could be involved as early as Wigan.”

He made his debut 11 Sep 2010 and he has only made 36 starts in all competitions for Newcastle, and made 11 substitute appearances.

Yet we have played 127 games in that period.

Yes he had a bad injury that threatened his career and he was out for a long period, we understand that, but has that left its mark.

Will he ever be fully fit?
