The Ameobi brothers will have significant roles to play this season along with 20-year-old Haris Vuckic, who scored the decisive goal in the qualifier against Atromitos.
Alan Pardew: “Shola’s very important, and he will play a bigger role than he did last year.
“We haven’t got a big pool of strikers, but we have a real quality pool. You have to say that.
“Haris (Vuckic) is in there, and Sammy Ameobi has done very well too. That’s our group now, really.
“They have to get in there and show they can step up.”
