Sheffield United take on high-flying Newcastle United tonight at Brammal Lane, with the visitors eyeing top sport in the Championship.

United hope to welcome back Nick Montgomery (knee) and Andy Taylor (thigh) from injury, but goalkeeper Paddy Kenny remains on the sidelines following his drugs ban.

Kevin Blackwell's side will also be without Gary Naysmith (knee), Jamie Ward (wrist), Lee Williamson (back), Derek Geary and Andrew Davies (knee).

Newcastle have a strong squad to pick from. Fabiricio Coloccini and Steven Taylor should return from injury, and on-loan defender Danny Simpson is also expected to recover from an ankle injury.

Alan Smith returns from suspension and is also expected to feature for Chris Hughton's team.
