[LNB]Shearer said: 'There are still people working for those particular targets. I think it would be wrong of the club not to do that. [LNB]'I'm sure we'll put our ideas across and see what happens. But that part of the club is still working.' [LNB]Multi-millionaire owner Mike Ashley is hoping to persuade Shearer to stay on but is unwilling to pour any more substantial funds into the club he would still sell if the right offer came along. 'Morale wasn't great. [LNB]'But I think, particularly with last week's result at Stoke City, there's been a belief and a bit of confidence that we can get ourselves out of the mess we're in, which is pleasing to see. We take confidence from both games and we'll approach the Spurs game in much the way we did Stoke, and go out and try to win it. [LNB]'We have to have everyone pulling in the same direction and everyone on board. [LNB]'We want them to be happy and enjoy themselves around the place and get results, because that's all that matters. [LNB]'I'm under huge pressure but I'm really enjoying it. It's still hard work. I'm definitely getting a buzz out of it, without a doubt. [LNB]'The hours are getting longer if anything, but I've got no complaints. I'm looking forward to getting up first thing in the morning and coming into the office to see what challenges await you. [LNB]'I've never criticised managers because it's a very difficult job. I've got great respect for whoever does it. It's a tough job.'[LNB] Newcastle Utd FC: All the latest news from across the webSpurs star Jermaine Jenas hopes time doesn't run out on his old Newcastle team-mate Alan Shearer[LNB] [LNB]
